Dear Fellow Researchers and Scholars,

We are excited to announce the Call for Abstracts and Panels for our upcoming the 13th International Conference on Business, International Relations, and Diplomacy (ICOBIRD 2024).

The conference will be centered on the pivotal theme of “Digital Frontiers: The Intersection of SDGs, Technology, and International Relations in Shaping the Modern World”.

🗓 Date: 28-29 August 2024
📍 Location: Hybrid conference, onsite in Bali, Indonesia

This year ICOBIRD will be in the hybrid mode, combining onsite and online participations for this engaging and collaborative discussions.

We invite fellow BINUSIAN scholars, researchers, academics, and beyond including practitioners and enthusiasts to submit their abstracts and proposals for panels that explore diverse aspects within the theme. Whether you are delving into theoretical frameworks, presenting empirical findings, or discussing practical applications, we welcome contributions from various disciplines.

Key Topics:

  *   State of debate of technology within the global, regional and bilateral cooperation
  *   The interlink between SDGs, technology, and International Relations (IR)
  *   From Practice to theory: Unpacking Modern IR Conceptions and the application of technology to achieve SDGs.
  *   History and Theory: How history shape our understanding on the International Relations and technology
  *   How technology, AI, industry, and others contribute to achievement of SDGs within the international relations studies.
  *   Border, coloniality, and redefinition of the state in IR
  *   IR, technology, and the creation of war and peace.
  *   The international political economy of technology
  *   Technology and its implications to Media and IR.
  *   Contemporary issues of IR and technology advancement.
  *   Theorising transnationalism and state-society relations through Global, regional, and domestic perspectives
  *   Theoretical and empirical contribution of IR epistemic community could do to enhance debate in (a) Foreign Policy, (b) International Political Economy, (c) security studies, and (d) regionalism.

  *   Call for abstracts and panels: 7 March - 15 April 2024
  *   Decision on abstract: 16-30 April 2024
  *   Full paper submission: 30 June 2024
