Dear distinguished partners and students,

Greetings from BINUS UNIVERSITY, Jakarta, Indonesia!

Observing the progress of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, BINUS UNIVERSITY is undertaking preventive actions to ensure the health and safety of our students, staff, and the entire campus community.

At this time, there are no confirmed cases of Coronavirus at BINUS University.

We've written to all current students, faculty, and staff to provide them with information on the safety measures that BINUS UNIVERSITY is taking. The key points are:
*         All work-related trips, visiting lecturers, academic exchanges, or internships abroad are subject to postponement, cancellation and restrictions, pending review of risk assessment by the University until further notice, particularly those held in the most affected countries: China (including Hong Kong and Macao), Singapore, South Korea, Iran, Italy, and Japan.
*         Status decisions on mobility programs, work-related trips, and visiting lectures are made on a case-by-case basis, guided by the official recommendations from international and national agencies and by University policy.
*         Students, staff, and visitors returning from the countries identified by CDC as level 1-3 and potential risk will undergo quarantine:

*Center of Disease Control and Preventions (CDC) is a leading public health institute of the United States. It monitors and updates the current status or progress and the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and provides assessment of at-risk countries (see https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/summary.html#risk-assessment)
*         Anyone with mild cold and/or coughs must come to school wearing protective masks and those who register a temperature above 37.5 degrees will be requested to return home.
*         BINUS UNIVERSITY's regular classes are run 50% online, whereas the enrichment program for research, community development, and entrepreneurship tracks is to be held virtually.
*         All large gatherings are suspended until further notice. All events are subject to postponement, cancellation and restrictions, pending review of risk assessment by the University.
*         As always, we encourage everyone to continue maintaining healthy diets and habits. We have been campaigning the health and safety of all BINUSIANs, through the following measures:
o    Washing hands using soap regularly
o    Having balanced and nutritious food
o    Drinking minimum 8 glasses of water each day
o    Covering nose/mouth and/or using a face mask when sneezing, coughing, or having a runny nose
o    Not smoking
o    Exercising and taking enough rest
o    Being careful when interacting with animals
o    Not consuming improperly cooked meat
o    Seeing a doctor when feeling under the weather

We'd like to assure you that health and safety of all students, faculty and staff are our outmost priority, and keep you updated with the news.
