OUTREACH PROGRAMME 2019

[School Serpong - Auto Notification]

Dear EL Parents,

We gladly inform you that Outreach Programme 2019 is ready to launch. Our theme is:

Human beings have irrevocably upset the balance of nature. The impacts are far reaching. Our activities have caused global destruction which includes global warming and climate change. As global citizens, we need to take action to stop and reverse this destruction. Random acts of green refers to any eco-friendly acts to protect the environment, reduce carbon footprints, reverse the process of extinction and help the Earth to survive. It is our little steps to take action in helping the Earth to survive.

The general purposes of this programme are to:

  *   promote environmental literacy and global citizenship;
  *   enhance students’ motivation and encourage their personal actions to protect the environment;
  *   take part in the global movement that embraces nature and its values by reversing the destruction of the Earth;
  *   support the local government’s (Dinas Lingkungan Hidup) effort to tackle plastic pollution and reforest the city.

While the Grade Level Teams are preparing for the Parent Information Sessions (PIS) to be held within weeks 8-9, the fund raising activities will start this week. The funds raised will be used solely for charity, such as for buying trees or goody bags for people in need. The fee for outreach trip/camp will be borne by students individually in the same fashion as the regular field trips.

The fund raising and outreach activities that will be organised by respective grade levels are as follows:
