Dear Partners,

Greetings from BINUS UNIVERSITY!

I hope this email finds you well, safe and sound.
First, it is our pleasure to announce that the student exchange/study abroad program at BINUS University continues to open for the Fall Semester 2020.
Second, we thank you very much for your patience in waiting for our application package as we had to make some adjustments due to the global pandemic situation.
Your student(s) are now very much welcome next semester and we do our best to make their experience in Indonesia and at BINUS University worthwhile.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  1.  As the Indonesian government has closed the boarders since early April until further notice, there will be a delay in issuing the unconditional Letter of Acceptance for visa purpose. We will send the Conditional Letter of Acceptance instead, in order to confirm the exchange placement of your student. This Conditional Letter of Acceptance is with an additional consent form that the student may start the Fall semester with an online learning mode for the first few weeks of the semester.
  2.  At this point, we are unable to provide formal information on when the Large-scale Social-Distancing Restriction Order<https://id.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pembatasan_sosial_berskala_besar> set by the Indonesian government to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus will be lifted. New order or policy can be issued any time. But, please bear in mind that the Fall semester may start virtually for the first few weeks.

ENGLISH REQUIREMENT
One of the following documents is required to show the applicant's English Proficiency:

  *   Academic IELTS Test, overall score 6.00 or above;
  *   TOEFL(r) Test, min 550 (paper based), 213 (computer based), 79 (internet based);
  *   CEFR Level B2;
  *   PTE, min 50;
  *   MUET, min 5;
  *   Home University's Official Statement confirming that the medium instruction is fully in English,
The submitted document must be official and test scores are valid within 2 years after the test was taken. Native English speakers originally from English-speaking countries, such as the United Kingdom, USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, plus non-native speakers who are studying at the university in the aforementioned countries are exempted from providing the English Proficiency document.
If the applicant is unable to show and meet with the English Proficiency requirement, then s/he is required to join the BINUS INTERNATIONAL English Proficiency Test (BIEPT) upon their arrival during our Orientation program. When the BIEPT result still cannot meet the minimum score requirement, the applicant must  enroll in a compulsory English tutorial program throughout the semester ((ENGL6208 English Plus Stage Two, 200 minutes per week, no additional fee).
Please kindly consider this as a bonus (not a burden) for your students as they can also improve their English competency during their study at BINUS University.

APPLICATION DEADLINE
We extend our application deadline to 30th June 2020 (ONLY for 2020 Fall Semester).
